Hi guys. I have a 99 ford 7.3 6 speed To start off the CPS has been replaced. When driving down the road my truck will shut off and the engine light will come on but when I take my foot off the fuel pedal the light go's off and it go's again??? When the truck cuts off if I keep my foot on the pedal it will remain off until I lift then it's all good??? It dosn't turn off at ideal and when it dose cut off it's only the motor nothing electric. I tried to use a code reader but there is never a code as the engine light is only on breifly? Been doing this for a year and has never left me stranded it's just getting old. Anytime I ask any "know it all" diesel mech they always say "it's the CPS"??? I guess thats the easy answer?? Im hopping someone else has had this problem on here and can really help me. Ted Im not a Powerstroke dude but this sounds like a fueling issue to me

 

I'd try the CPS again to be sure.

 

Just replaced it,again still dose it now what?????????????

 

i found this for ya buddy hope it helps... recalled cps also dial your gray cps to .10... read on.. good luck!
