Default Clutch / transmission issues.

Hi,
I am new to the site. I have a 03 RAM 3500, 5.9HO, 2WD, 6spd MT, NV5600 Trans. with 260,000 miles. I use it to pull a 3 car wedge. About 4 months / 60,000 miles ago I replaced Trans fluid & clutch with a HD dual disc pulling clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and etc. All was fine for the next 60,000 miles then went to pull out and truck acted like it was in 6th gear it finally took off about 100 miles later it was hard to go into 4th & 5th. It finally did and drove about 200 more miles fine. Took clutch apart and looked like throw-out bearing was bad because it had some play in it. Replaced bearing and drove 20 miles it was fine. Put 3cars on trailer and drove about 150 miles the clutch got softer. then going downhill in neutral the truck acted like the brakes were on I then went into 6th it made a loud noise under shifter. It then started to act like it was jumping in and out of gear. On side of the road I put it in first had to hold it in 1st to move off roadway. Now when I release the clutch it makes a noise like a chain inside a metal tool box being shaken. Push clutch in it goes away. (I think i should have stayed with a stock clutch) Any ideas? thanks for your help.

Do you think my transmission is okay? I can live with a new clutch but a new Transmission is another store. I was thinking the transmission might have an issue because of the HD clutch I put in. When I replaced the throw-out bearing 2 days ago the clutch looked brand new.

hard to say, you can take the shifter out from inside the cab, take the plate/shifter off and look down inside and see if anything looks funny although its a limited view. I will be the first to tell you that sticks are not my forte, but i will help any way i can. let me talk to my tranny guy tomorrow and see if he has any ideas

since it go's away when you clutch it, i'm saying it is the transmission, we have replaced a few with broken gears and other problems

if it was a pressure plate problem the most likly you would be having problems with it trying to pull even tho the clutch is pushed in

I am thinking it is transmission also but I was told to check the clutch master cylinder because I put in a HD clutch with a stock cylinder it might cause an issue.

When the truck is not moving and I release the clutch it make a loud noise under the shifter. What would be making that noise in the transmission if truck is not moving?

just depends what happened inside the trans, last one we replaced even with it in neutral if you let out on the clutch it would kill the engine because it was all seized up

Update: Limited on time. I took wedge off truck and it pulled out fine. Went through 1,2,3,4,5th gears just fine but still had noise under shifter. The 6th gear sync has been out for 6 mths. If we in 6th and fuel applied it would stay in gear and only pop out of gear when we let off fuel petal. Now in 6th it stays in with fuel applied like before but if you let off it makes a grind noise. The noise under shifter is lower and seemed to get better after 10 minutes. I did have to put some fluid in my power steering pump it was out. It is going to get broke apart tonight I hope and I will update. Thanks. Any thoughts from anyone would be great.
