I went to start my truck last night and it did something wierd, the starter has been getting slower at starting up my truck. But now every time I turn the key to start the truck it just clicks and all of the lights and everything shuts off and comes back on in about 15 seconds. Im thinking i may have a short some where but could it be the starter? and it was raining yesterday before i went to start it. Really need this fixed and was wondering if anyone has ever seen or heard of this happening? and could point me in the right direction of where to start.

 

assuming yer battery and charging system is up to par my bet would be starter contact and silonoid

Bad connections at the battery would cause that same symptom.

 

I'd start at the batteries and clean all connections and test batteries. If that don't fix it, time for a starter upgrade.
