I have found a truck for 99 cummins for sale that i am considering buying for a second truck for work or a sled pull truck. It does not run some sort of fuel issue the owner has contacted cummins and they think it is a fuel relay. No check engine light so i cant check codes. Any ideas does that sound right? or could it be something else? correct me if i am wrong but a relay would be a uber cheap and easy fix.

 

vp44? if it was a cheap fix wouldt he fix it and sell it for more. i put my money on if its a fuel issue the injection and lift pump are faulty.

 

The name I emailed was Delores so chances are she isn't so mechanically inclined someone told me the relay for the A/C is the same so I could drive out there and swap the relays and fire it up besides I would need to see if its the dreaded #53 block like on my truck

 

i know people with 300,000 miles on the 53 series block. and hell ya if its the same relay and it fires up might not be a bad deal.
