Started after the first cold spell would start truck and it would run fine the like 5 sec later it would start running bad so bad it would shake the whole truck and the check engine light comes on I am stuck on this one has plenty of oil checked that first but now I am stuck please. Help

 

shorted valve cover gasket, shorted from the glow plug wire to ground or an injector wire....it takes the ecm a few sec before it runs a self test and at that point when it sees the fault it kills that whole bank of injectors

dorman makes the kit now that comes with the gaskets and the injector harness pigtails, should fix ya right up just takes a lil time to do nothing major tho

 

Will have to look in to that but now truck will not even start Ford said it said it sounds like the pcm but I think there would be more problems if it was that right

 

Check both of the UVC (under valve cover) harness... Drivers side and passanger side.

On the OBS there are two connectors on each side, each connector runs two injectors and two glow plugs.

Could be an IDM, but I doubt it at this point.

 

Is it blowing any smoke while cranking over?

 

Yes it is blowing smoke out sometimes black the a lot of blue white smoke
