new fuel filter would be first but it should have went to running bad before it died with that, if it just all of a sudden shut off i would lean more toward the FICM being bad

Okay. So I have had great luck with truck so far besidesit having bad injector. From what I've been told and sounds like. I bought it with just over 200,000 miles Drove it for years knockn. Every once in a while. Seemed like truck would freak out and not allow engine to go over 1800 rpm. I would shut truck off. And it wouldn't do it for six months. Then about two months ago it started doing it frequenly almost everyday. Seemed to when I got on the gas. Well I went to NASCAR race in Dallas. Only beig able to get up to sixty. Was along drive. Made it almost home and bam. Truck dies will not start. We pulled it home. I changed the filter just a few hundred miles back. Im pretty good with engines. So I figured that if u unscrewed filter and cranked fuel should flow out. I opened lines were they go in and out of that computer lookin box by filter thinkn if u crank it fuel should fly out if pump is pumping. Nothin. Seems like bad pump. Is there anything that tells not to pump. It is mechanical right. I don't know what ficm is. Please help. Any ideas. I got to get truck goin. Boat can't get to lake without it Pleeeeeasse any advice.

the symptoms you were describing it sounds like your cp3 took a crap on you. but further diagnosis will help identify what happened.

fyi there is no supply pump that pushed fuel to the injection pump that sits in the valley of your engine, the injection pump has its own suction pump that draws fuel all the way from the tank. after changing the fuel filter you have to prime the system by using the hand pump on the top of the fuel filter housing and bleed screw.

the computer looking thingy with the fuel lines going though it is your Fuel Injection Control Module
