I was on my way to work the other day and when trying to maintain the speed limit my truck would miss and buck but stop when i pushed on the fuel. My wife brought me a fuel filter and i put it inbleed the filter. when i started it it was surgig 500 to 1200 rpms so i bleed the injecters shut it off and restarted it. Then it reved up till the rev limiter kicked in and stayed there. There was no pedle response ether time. I cheked the lift pump and its working i curently wierd it strait to a switch. It would go back and forth between surging and spiking but now dont wont to start. the glow plugs r working and cyceling right and someone has changed and moved the FSD. All the codes coming up have to do with accelerator control malfunction. were do I start and how do I check it? I really need my truck back on the road asap.

 

being a 95 is it the electronic injection pump?

 

I,ve thought that but don't know how to test it ...1400$ way to much to spend on maybes if I could find out how to test it and the PSD and maybe the senser on the pedal before I buy any thing that would be great since they rang from 250$ and up thank you have any ideas on how to test it.

 

would be nice if it was a lil newer and had a obd port but i'd have to do some checking on how to test that

No just starting to figure everything out on the site,but I will. Yea I have OBD1 missed OBD2 by one year. all the codes that I did get had to do with accelerator cercit malfunctioning

 

i wish i was better with those trucks but there must be some sort of tps out on the pump because i know there is a cable that runs to it
