Default New injectors and now problems

I just put in my new injectors and now i have a constant steady flow of black smoke on acceleration. there is no smoke at idle and she starts awesome and idles great. i replaced all 6 injectors,orings,coppers,and even the fuel rods and now i get this what could it be. i got a hold of the guy that tested the injectors and hes double checking the numbers to see if they are for an 03 but what else could it be??? i have no fuel in the oil either,fuel filter is new any help is appreciated

sounds about right, time for a turbo to clean them up

What is done to the truck? Are they stock injectors?

Truck is completely stock and they are stock injectors. The guy I got em from think he may have gave me the ones out of his 06 so I got the other ones now we are gonna pull vavlve cover and check the numbers to see

If he did ask him what he is going to do when the pistons melt down the road as he had you put in the incorrect spray pattern injector. Got to love high pressure spray pattern in the wrong bowl configuration.

Well I only drove it maybe 25 miles and then shut her down so hopefuilly no damage was done

Well got all the right ones in now and no problems at all. i talked to 2 diesel shops and they all say i should be fine since i never put it under a load or anything. i ended up changeing the oil and adding some treatment to the motor and she purrs as quite as a cummins can. so for now i think i dodged the bullet on this one. and my old injectors i took out i had em tested and only 1 was out of spec ( just barely) so i got 5 extras now just in case. thanks for all the help

So could the same damage occur when running 155* marine injectors in an engine with pistons designed for 145* injectors? I know the marines arent the best to run (Ill never run a set) but could they cause this damage?
