brakes are spongy pads and rotors are good any ideas or is this normal

You may need to adjust the rears if it has drums on back

Has it always been like that or just starting to happen? Could be hydroboost starting to fail, but the chevy's with hydroboost have a little bit of a spongy pedal from the factory. Not sure but if I remember right Chevy had a recall on the hydroboost system. I would call your local Chevy garage and give them you vin to see if it does. Best of luck

it has 4 wheel disk brakes and i just got the truck so idk if it has always done it and its way spongier than my 02 sierra 1500 is

its hydro check your powersteering fluid, if its low or out it can affect your braking
