i am about two hours from installing a set of governor springs in a buddys truck but he bought a 4k kit. i have read on other sites that you can leave the center spring out of the 4k kit and make it a 3k then add the center springs when you get the 60lb valve springs to make it 4k. is this true or do i need to wait to install the kit?

 

Just do the 4k and be done with it. As long as you dont go over 3200rpm you will be just fine

 

i would but this guy drives everything like he stole it! and in his case its always to be safe than sorry!

 

Then in that case yep leave the middle spring out
