Default Don't laugh...can't get truck to shut off

I can't get the damned truck to shut off!

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 w 6.7. I have an Edge Juice with Attitude controller. I have the controller enabled with the "turbo cooldown feature", which allows you to set the EGT to reach a certain temp in order for the vehicle to shut off, even if the key is out of the ignition. This supossedly is good for the turbo.

Here's how I idiotically got in this predicament. The truck was running. My 3 small kids were screaming. I hit the ignition again into the "Start" position and got the god-awful sound you get when you hit the ignition on a running vehicle. This has appeared to "freeze" the controller. I can navigate through the Edge controller but none of the gauges are responsive...they are all "stuck" where they were when in inadvertantly turned the key to start even though the truck was running. Of course, the EGT is at 403 degrees and I have the truck set to shut off at an EGT of 400 degrees.

I'm thinking the controller will not allow the truck to turn off because it still thinks the EGT is at 403 and is waiting for it to fall below 400.

Short of running out of gas in the middle of the night and having my truck idle all night, how do I shut it off without damage? Sorry, I'm pretty much a novice and I don't want to mess up my truck. Thanks.

UNplug the monitor and replug it in to reboot. But with the key off and hitting the brake pedal its spose to cancel the cool down. You cant change any of the parameters? Turning the key back on should not had caused any problems

The "key off hitting the brake pedal" is not working. Also, yes...I could change parameters but nothing would "respond". For instance, I tried changing the parameters for the EGT shut off temp to 450 but nothing was working.

Thanks...should have added that originally.

I don't have an edge but with the turbo timer on my Quadzilla I just tap the gas peddle if i want it to shut off. you might try that or tapping the brake. If all else fails unplug the chip but that might set off a Check engine light.

Thanks guys! Unplugging the Edge did the trick! Just needed confirmation that I wasn't going to "blow something up" doing that. Thanks again.
