i have a 98 dodge 12valve that won't start with the key, and when this happened the windows will not roll up or down and the door locks will not work either. you can push state it but when you want to start it with the key everything acts likes it wants to start but i will not engage the starter

 

sounds like you need new starter contacts.......................check em out here

Thanks but before it did this when it would do this before you could wiggle the key and it would start it acts like a relay or its a short maybe i was wondering if there was a way to by pass the key switch to make sure the starter is ok

Ive never done it or even had the column open but I would guess that you should be able to jumper the switch...like hot-wiring it.

You will likely need a wiring diagram.
