Take the edge off and see if problem is still there. If it is, check all the relays...go from there...

Good Luck, keep us posted

take the airtex pump off and put a carter back on it or a airdog lift pump...i have had ALOT of problems with the airtex pumps causing a hard start condition, i been putting the oem replacement carter pumps on most of them and it fixes them...best we can figure out after talking to bosch is that the cummins ecm reads fuel pressure by the amp draw on the pump circuit and the airtex pumps arnt showing the correct amperage so the ecm see's it as too high of a pressure and the ecm tells the injection pump not to fire...have also had this problem with the FASS DDRP pumps and i dont know if they have corrected the problem or not...i have a regular fass on our 01 truck and it works perfect just seems to be the DDRP's that had the problem

Installed the Carter stock pump, no more issues..Thanks for your help, turns out Airtex is junk and definitely would not recommend it for anyone!!!

sounds like your stock carter was going out and causing the problem then the new airtex was causing the same effect but in a different way...glad the new carter fixed it!
