I noticed that this is an 8 day old post so you might have it fixed by now. If it is anything like our 92 it has a timing pin bolted to the back of the timing cover between the IP and block. gently turn the engine while pushing in on the pin until it drops into the hole in the timing gear. The IP has a timing mark on the shaft. On the flange of the IP is a small bolt with a spacer that lines up with the shaft.Remove the bolt and take off the spacer then screw the bolt in gently to hold the shaft while installing the pump. It has been a while since I replaced our IP but I think you can see the mark by looking in the lock bolt hole or maybe there is a cover you have to remove. After the pump is installed slide the timing pin out of the timing gear and remove the bolt from the pump to replace the spacer on it. DO NOT attempt to turn the engine until the timing pin and IP lock bolt have been taken care of.
