So i thought i was having problems with my lift pump last week. i replaced it and it was fine for a few minutes then just died. I dont know if it my vp44 or not. I bled the lines and tried to bleed them at the injectors with no luck. im getting pressure going into the vp 0n the banjo but cant seem to figure out what is going on. I need it running so i can go to work tomorrow. Any ideas? and thanks in advance for your advice.

 

good possibility its the injector pump

 

finally got it to crank. ran rough for a second then idled fine. took it around the block and it died on the way back. i was hoping it wouldnt be the injection pump but it doesnt sound good. It wont even throw codes or anything. I guess im going to have to buy a vp

 

What pressure do you have at the VP? Any codes?

 

im trying to rig up my fuel pressure meter after the fuel filter on the bottom of the vp. I havent got my gauges shipped to me yet but i have a mechanical one. Also no codes through the reader of the key trick. as soon as i get a reading on pressure i will post it up


cant have any luck getting the fuel pressure hooked up. Going to the diesel shop tomorrow. Prolly going to get a price on full set of gauges installed, Airdog 2, New VP-44 and some other odds and ends.
