So the truck in my sig started to develope a little bit of a tick the other day and now its getting worse. Some say its a leaky injector others say its a bad valve. then i hooked up my smarty to see if i got any dtc and i came up with only ome and it was P-0483 which is cooling fan speed. So my question is could that be the tick i hear. i checked the fan and belts and everything seems to be fine. it has never run hot on me and runs pretty decent. i did noticed i have a slight miss at 1700 rpm and every now and then when shes cold it sputters at idle but usually goes away. I have 132,000 on it know and not sure if they are stock injectors or not. any help is appreciated thanks in advance

 

sounds like you've got an injector that is either cracked below the oring allowing extra fuel into the cylinder or it is just leaking around the check ball in the body....i would pull them out and send them all off to be tested....leaking injectors can cause major damage to the rings

 

K im going to pull em out tomorrow night i found a shop near by that will test em for $30 a pc if i pull em out i will keep you updated thanks for the help
