Okay I need to pick someones brain here for a second. I was heading to a ballgame lastnight when my truck started stuttering like it was running out of fuel and my fuel filter light came on. the truck died and I pulled over to the side of the road, lifted the hood and looked at the fuel filter (its brand new) and it didnt seem dirty or anything, so I tried to drain the fuel bowl and it wouldnt drain at all. also I noticed that my starter relay was smoking, there was a wire grounded out and I messed with the wires and everything was fine. I checked for codes and it said my CPS was bad, so I got one from autozone real quick and it ran just fine for a while. a few minutes later it did the same thing. it runs fine but when I get to higher speeds and RPMs it started acting like its not getting enough fuel and will died, but then I can start it again and drive off with little difficulty, but then after driving down the highway the fuel filter light will flash on and off then start slowly dying and lose speed.
