Default urgent help please.

while installing a new stereo in my truck two wires touched and sparked. now my headlights and dome lights only turn on when the key is in the ignition. i have no idea. maybe a fuse?

any help is appreciated

hey bud you might even check your relays also if you have a dvm you can check them
just my 2cents good luck

ive been checking all my fuses. no luck so far. i guess i can pull them all though. i mean, i only checked what is with the radio. i didnt bother checking airbag fuses or other stuff.

Could have possibly fried a relay.

yeah you could have fried it check the panel on drivers side in the cab, then i would check the power dist. box since they are all labeled id check all the ones having to do with your lights and radio, did you get your radio grounded hope you find it

If it was a fuse you wouldn't have any lights, sounds like a relay's shorted to me. Just my 2 cents. Hope u find it.

i killed the constant power cable for the radio clock. i guess its on the same relay as the lights cause neither work. i wired it up to my battery but its just one more thing to turn off when i get out,.

and it works now.

now i have no dash backlight. so now i gotta fix all this now.

did you check all your fuses cause dome lamps are controlled by the CTM (body computer) and would have a different power supply so Id check them all I usually use a test light cause some times you cant see an open
