Default 2003 Cummins No Start

Truck had bad fuel ran through it for 30-40 miles, after leaving the gas station it started running really rough. Diagnosed as having very low fuel pressure drained and cleaned the fuel tank, installed completly new fuel system from the tank to the cp3, has a 2micron filter, fuel water seperator and a walbro lift pump regulated to 60psi. Fired it up ran slightly rough rail pressure spiked to 30 we shut the truck off went to start it a little later and would not start. Diagnosed the problem to be the cp3 now has a industrial injection stage 3 cp3, dual feed line kit and silver bullet phat shaft installed. It has a constant 60psi but no rail pressure and no codes. Does anyone have a diagram of the stage 3 cp3 showing where the feed, return and supply lines go? We think we have it set up correctly but want to double check because we have no other ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

Post a pic of your set up, but I bet its right. Bottom line is rail pressure boils down to 2 things, lack of supply, or no seal to build pressure. I have not seen one leaking bad enough to not start, usually they just loose power above 2k rpms.

Sounds like the CP3 no workie. The Spike to 30k tells me the FCA might be efed up. Call II and tell them whats up and they should get you what you need.

Well we were told on 3rd gens you can not bleed the lines because of how much pressure there is, its dangerous and blah blah. On sunday they were lucky enough to get ahold of a industrial injection dealer who said just do it. Then we finally got it running and the rail pressure was 30 but its running now. I got a few short clips of it ill have to post up.

Pressure from ANY injector pump is dangerous...not just third gens. Its important to never stick your fingers (or anything else for that matter) near cracked injector lines...anyway use some carboard to check for spraying fuel.

Glad you got it going.

We will close this...you can reopen it if needed.
