1990 f-350 IDI -wont start
Hello all, new to forum -desperately looking for some advice. My 90 f-350 has not been started in over a year, but ran fine when parked. It will not start now. Before I would turn the key to the first position, and the wait to start light would come on AND I would hear a distinct relay click (tic-toc) the amp gauge would also go up and down in time to the relay clicking. Now when I turn the key to the first position the wait to start light comes on, but it no longer makes the relay noise (the amp gauge stays in place also) When I turn the key to start, nothing happens (except the temp gauge slowly rises if the key is held in start) I was wondering if the relay that I no longer hear could be the problem, and if so where is it, and what is it called. I would most appreciate any help thrown my way. -Thanks

thanks for the reply. I had already checked batteries, and cleaned all the connections before I posted. I also tried replacing the starter solenoid, but it did the exact same thing afterward. I'm most curious why I do not hear the relay click clocking while the light says wait to start?
