need help blocking of my heater core its leaking bad

take your heater hoses off where they go through the cab put 1/2 pipe between them with hose clamps and run it that way until you get your heater core replaced

could just put a piece of hose between the two hard heater lines going down the passenger side of the motor i think.

I just had the same problem on the '02 of mine. All I did was get about a foot of 5/8" heater hose from Napa ($1.15) and two hose clamps. Removed the soft lines coming out of the firewall on the engine side and installed the foot long piece of hose to bypass the heater core completely. Don't have any pics as the truck is out of town this week, but if you look under the hood, it will be relatively obvious what to do. Will work until fall I suppose. I am not looking forward to replacing the heater core...
