Default 03 lb7 Misfire and black smoke

i have an 03 lb7 duramax number 2 cylinder misfires and rolls black smoke. using a scanner, cancelling out number 2 engine runs fine with no smoke and after timing out misfires again and rolls black smoke, causing a loud knock in the motor. changed the injector and the problem persisted. problem occurred suddenly while driving down the road.

we just replaced the injector and it did the same thing? we cant figure out why the issue is still occuring with the new injector

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

the rail was flushed out and there are three other injectors on that rail why did'nt it cause another one to miss

the injectors are electronically actuated, them being fed by the same fail does not make a difference.

you sure you got the #2 one, its the front driver side injector. were you able to check balance rates of the injectors?
