Hey I hear something like that if i get out of it with hard boost it sounds like its in the dash passanger side too. But i think my 04 1/2 has all aluminum is that noise normal ??? or should i be looking for a leak i think my intercooler is all aluminum any ideas???

it's called "turbo-bark". it's an easy fix....

DON'T GET OUT OF IT UNDER HIGH BOOST CONDITIONS! seriously. you are the only "fix" for this issue.

when you abruptly get out of the throttle under higher boost the charged air has no where to go and tries to escape back through the air filter. this is VERY, VERY bad for your turbo.

Hey thanks only have heard it a few times when i am messing and o them darm cops pop out of no where . Ya i am building bost all the way to 40 plus so i sorta though i didnt have a leak.

technically, you still could have a leak. just because you're building boost up to 40 doesn't mean there's no leak. it just means that your turbo can over come the leak to the point it can build 40 psi at the point where your boost gauge is connected. it's a good idea to just take a few minutes and check for leaks every couple of years. i would bet that there is at least one 1 small leak in your system somewhere if it's never been checked.

The intercooler is only covered under the 3 year 36000 mile warrenty I was told.

Ya the intercooler is cosidered dodge and not cummins But thats blows its part of the motor i would think.
