Battery died from sitting all winter. This spring I had to jump it to start it, I also put a charger on it,and ended up putting new battery's in it. And threw all this it caused the air bag light to come on...Any one know how to reset or turn off the air bag light on a 1995 Chevy truck?

 

i believe you have to have a scanner with air bag abilities if i remember right

 

I know that that is the easy way with a scanner...but this is a better off modified site? right I know there is a way to do it with a paper clip just dont know the right pins to jump and dont wana go at it with out some for sure tech advice air bag info seems pretty limited in all the searching i have done. I never had a air bag deploy dont really want it to in my drive way thats for sure..

 

ya i hear ya on that one. ive never done one with a paperclip but i have done the check engine light that way id assume it works the same with the air bag light flashing.

A scan tool is used to read current and history diagnostic trouble codes and to clear all diagnostic trouble codes after a repair is completed. The scan tool may need to be updated to communicate with the SIR system through a replaceable cartridge before it can be used for SIR diagnostics. To use the scan tool, connect it to the data link connector and turn the ignition switch "ON." The scan tool reads serial data from the DERM "Serial Data" output terminal "B11" at the data link connector terminal "9."

A scan tool can also provide SIR system circuit values using the "Data List" function. These values are referred to in the diagnostic trouble code tables to aid in diagnosing certain SIR system malfunctions. For additional information, refer to the scan tool instruction manual.

looks like possibly jumping 11 and 9?
