My 2005 ford Power Stroke has a constant Grayish white smoke comming out of the tail pipe and the engine is missing and you can smell diesel really bad out of the tail pipe. when driving it it it still has the grayish white smoke with some black smoke in it too. if i accelerate it turns all black runs fine when i accelerate it when when I let off the accerator it goes back to running rough. I changed both fuel filters along with the oil and oil filter and the air filter and this didnt help. I took it to my local small town ford dealer and this is what they told me. the truck showed these fault codes P0272, P0299, P0611, P0674. They said my Injector Module was bad due to may batterys being bad and that the truck hydrolocked on them. THe truck has never hydrolocked on me I replaced the batterys yesterday and it never hydrolocked. They said the reason it hydrolocked was because there was coolant in the cylinders but they never confimed there was coolant in the cylinders. The truck has not lost any power so i dont see how this can be true nor can you smell coolant out the tail pipe. Can some one lead me in the right direction on what i need to do. the ford dealership said it woould cost a 1000.00 bucks for the injector module and 6200.00 dollars to fix the EGR Cooler and head gaskets that is crazy. I dont have that kind of money.
