still having problems.
I have a 93 Dodge cummins with 3:54 rears and the thing gets terrible mpg and will not pull the hat off your head.I had turned the fuel pin and the star wheel a while back and made a little difference but not much so I set everything back to stock. I had problems here while back with the wiring and got all of it fixed and started driving it to work but can't afford the fuel for the thing. I am getting on average about 15 mpg with the truck. Can someone help me with the this problem? I would appreciate any help thanks.

Stick or auto? Auto, you could have a worn converter. Also, if its not snappy, you should check fuel pressure to the injection pump, make sure you are getting enough. Does the truck start fine or do you have to crank on it a bit? Smoke at start? A little puff of black smoke is normal. White not so much. Popping and studdering indicates a loss of prime or lack of fuel pressure.

Truck starts fine do not have to set there and wind on it to get it to start it starts right up and smokes just a little when it starts but nothing white to worry about. I was wondering if the timing could be off with it.The star wheel was marked before I moved it to turn it up so I know it is where it is supposed to be when I moved it back. Truck has an auto trans and is shifting fine with no problems. Thanks guys for yall's help.
