Default fuel problems - 2000 7.3L

I have a 2000 F250 7.3L Powerstroke and i stated it up the other morning to warm it up and after running for a few minutes it started acting like it was running out of gas but it has plenty of gas. I can hear the fuel pump coming on but evidently its not getting to the engine. It turns over but sounds like its just not getting enough fuel. Any suggestions?

A problem with the high pressure oil pump could also cause it. Getting someone to read the codes would be a good place to start.

Ive changed the fuel filter and it has 270000 miles on it. I did notice a couple of days before that there was a small fuel leak around the fuel filter housing. Could the housing having a leak cause it not to pressurize enough to start and can someone run codes on it if it wont crank?
