Default converter issue? please help

so i just had my trans rebuilt in my 94 dodge. the guy who rebuilt it sold me a dynamic converter. well i have quite a few things done to my engine and its putting out some decent hp and tq. when it shifts into lockup and i roll into the throttle pretty hard i get a REALLY bad vibration that shakes the whole truck. i took it out on the highway today and when it was vibrating really bad i tapped my brake pedal to take it out of lockup and the vibration stopped but as soon as it locked in again it started to vibrate. i dont really know if it was me taking it out of lockup that made it stop or the fact that the rpm's jumped up. normal driving it doesnt do this unless you pull out to pass someone. any help would be appretiated. oh and the tranny and converter only have 100miles on them

My guess is converter is slipping, causing a shudder. Best guess, your line pressure is low, you need to take it back to your builder and have him make some adjustments to the pressure regulator and the lock up circuit. I would find out exactly what he did also. If he just did a stock rebuild and a slightly better than stock converter then thats not going to live very long.

Personally I wouldn't use a purple converter to hold my door open, but thats just my thoughts.

Suncoast, Goerends, or our own line of converters are all we install. . . . . .
