i have a 2001 f250 7.3 regular cab. i have the passenger side air bag turned off with the key. but the light saying it is off doesnt come on anymore i also have a like on dashboard for the air bag. i need to get it fixed but took it to ford they wanted $1000 dollars just to look at it. i need to know if it is safe because i have a 3 month old the rides there when he goes with me and i dont want anything to happened to him. i tryed selling my truck and getting a new one but so far up sided down cant sell it. can someone give me any ideas i will try it. my son means then world to me and dont want to see him get hurt by it for not trying.

 

Take it to a body shop and see what they can find for you. More than likely its a squib failure or a switch failure. Last 2 airbag lights I saw were squib failures.

 

Take the dash cover off on the front and behind that little spot where there used to be a light on replace the light bulb that should be it thats what was wrong with mine

my light bulb was out because the light bulb blew to the on off switch I replaced the bulb and it was fine after that you can try that first
