Default HELP!!! truck starts, but barely moves

got a 93 f250 7.3 diesel, auto trans, 4x4, havin an issue with it moving, itll go into gear, but even at full throttle it barely accelerates. the first 500 rpm is ok, but after that it doesnt seem to want to move, and if you try to give it more gas i feel a heavy shake. the trans is full fluid wise, any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Does it feel like the converter is just letting the motor free rev or is it more like it binds up and bogs the motor down? If its the first then I would say you have a converter heading south or a set of clutches slipping. If its the second, then I would say you have toasted a set of clutches and they are binding.

Does it make bad noises when you're in forward gears?

no binding or bogging, feels as if its basically free reving, yet with a little hold, and no noises either, how would i go about actually narrowing it down to the torque converter?

Does it still do it when you manually pull it down to first or second?

If the fluid is still clean your clutches might be alright. Typically when a clutch smokes it induces quite a bit of debris into the fluid. Either way I think it's your TC.
