Default honk wtf

05 cummins honks every once in a while for no reason. thought i bumped the horn when it happened the first time but the other day it just honked with no one in the cab. Truck was running. Any ideas I think the wiring in the steering collumn might have a short because i noticed the interment doesn't work to well on my whipers. any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks

a horn that intermittently blows on its own generally is caused by a bad clock spring that shorts out to ground randomly

Or it could be that the gear indicator is slightly comming out of park and the reverse alarm is letting you know that it is not in park any more..

Was the Door open???
