I checked my radiator and didnt see much coolant in it. It hasn't been driven in a couple of weeks. Anyway i was pouring coolant in the radiator and it was pouring out the driver side of the block above the motor mount from what i can tell, it is about 32 degrees windy and rainy and did feel like digging into just yet. So my question is could it be coming from a hose i dont see or a freeze plug. It was just odd that it was pouring out as fast as i was pouring it in.. Thanks for the help.

 

i hate to say it but the freeze plug is a very good possibility

 

Yea i believe its going to be a freeze plug. Does anyone know of a trick to change one out with the motor still installed or will the motor need to be pulled..

 

something else to keep in mind. right in the area you described, there is a fluid exchanger that flows oil and coolant seperately. ive seen those break and crack and do just as your describing

it is right on the side of the block you cant miss it. its like a oval shaped that goes horizontal. i think its only held in with 4 bolts. if i remember correctly it almost looks like a miniature exhaust manifold. but dont quote me on that

 

if thats not the case ^

you can do freeze plugs on the drivers side with the motor installed, you'd have to do it from underneath and its a pain the the a$$
