The P1754 is the throttle valve stuck.I think you have a 48RE trans right?

It may be something as simple as the mechanical linkage to the throttle valve came off.

It could because it controls valve body pressure and that may have set the code because the shift didn't happen in the perameters that the PCM monitors.

This is the post from MysteryNC you probably already looked at it.

THROTTLE VALVE
Throttle Valve
In all gear positions the throttle valve is being supplied with line pressure. The throttle valve meters and reduces the line pressure that now becomes throttle pressure. The throttle valve is moved by a spring and the kickdown valve, which is mechanically connected to the throttle. The larger the throttle opening, the higher the throttle pressure (to a maximum of line pressure). The smaller the throttle opening, the lower the throttle pressure (to a minimum of zero at idle). As engine speed increases, the increase in pump speed increases pump output. The increase in pressure and volume must be regulated to maintain the balance within the transmission. To do this, throttle pressure is routed to the reaction area on the right side of the throttle pressure plug (in the regulator valve).

The higher engine speed and line pressure would open the vent too far and reduce line pressure too much. Throttle pressure, which increases with engine speed (throttle opening), is used to oppose the movement of the pressure valve to help control the metering passage at the vent. The throttle pressure is combined with spring pressure to reduce the force of the throttle pressure plug on the pressure valve. The larger spring at the right closes the regulator valve passage and maintains or increases line pressure. The increased line pressure works against the reaction area of the line pressure plug and the reaction area left of land #3 simultaneously moves the regulator valve train to the right and controls the metering passage.

I would clear the code and see if it comes back.

I believe so it is hard to say if that component is bad or if its an adjustment problem or whether its cold related and froze, I would clear the code and run the truck and see if it comes back.

TSB 21-009-07

Date: May 24, 2007

Models: 2004 - 2007 (D1/DH/DR) Ram Truck (2500/3500)

Overview:
This bulletin involves the replacement of the governor pressure solenoid valve
in the transmission valve body.

Symptom/Condition:
The customer may experience a 1-2 shift transmission hunt during light throttle application. This
condition may be due to a governor pressure solenoid valve.

Diagnosis:
If the customer experiences the above condition perform the Repair Procedure.

Parts Required:
Qty. Part No. Description
1 04617210 Valve, Governor Pressure Solenoid
4 05013457AA ATF+4 Automatic Transmission Fluid
AR 02464324AC Gasket, Transmission Oil Pon (Note: Original pan
gasket is reusable and should not require replacement).

Repair Procedure:
1. Raise the vehicle on a suitable lift. Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position. Remove
the ignition key from the ignition switch.
2. Remove the transmission fluid (oil) pan and pan gasket. Clean and save the pan gasket
for later use during reassembly.
3. Disengage the wire connector to the governor pressure solenoid valve (Fig. 1).
4. Remove the screws used to secure the governor pressure solenoid valve retainer to
the transmission valve body.
5. Remove the old govemor pressure solenoid valve from the transmission valve body.
6. Clean the transmission housing and oil pan gasket surfaces.
7. Lubricate the o-rings on the new governor pressure solenoid valve.
8. Align the governor pressure solenoid valve to the bore in the valve body.
9. Install the governor pressure solenoid valve to the valve body.
10. Install the governor pressure solenoid valve retainer and attaching screws to the valve
body.
11. Connect the wire connector to the governor pressure solenoid valve.
12. Install the transmission fluid (oil) pan and pan gasket (saved earlier) to the
transmission. Tighten attaching bolts to 13.6 Nm (125 in. lbs.).

13. Lower vehicle.
14. Add automatic transmission fluid to the transmission.
15. Verify correct transmission fluid level.

If you have the Throttle Valve stuck code that means that the TV motor has not exceeded the minimal amount of travel allowed by the computer. This can be caused by over adjusting the TV stop on the Valve Body, or a failing TV Motor. We have seen 2 of these so far. Easiest way is first clear the code.

Next, if it comes back, pull the TV motor off and have someone in the drivers seat turn the key to the run position. See if the motor turns. Next, you can have the person in the cab ease the pedal to full throttle and watch the TV motor for movement. If you don't have movement, then you have a bad motor.
