Powerstroke won't start when warm

Powerstroke won't start when warm
This is kind of a weird problem, but my brother has a 95 Powerstroke that will start just fine when the engine is cold but won't start when the engine is warm. It has about 150k miles on it I think. There is an edge chip on it but he has taken it off and there is still the problem. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this or what he can check? Thanks in advance for any advice that may help

Can anyone think of a reason why it would do this when the engine is warm and start just fine when it is cold? How would it being warm stop the fuel supply and not stop it when it's cold? Where can I tell him to start looking?

You need three things to make an engine run air and fuel and enough compression to ignite it, could be many things I know nothing about the mods or anything on this truck how about more info please.

Use his edge to pull the codes.
And like DM is sayin, any of the HPOP'd PSD's need clean oil to run properly. If his oil is really bad, it could be the problem. 7.3 and 6.0 PSD's should never go more than 3k on an oil change. The HPOS is super hard on oil viscousity, causes oil "shear." Hot oil is thinner, used oil is thinner, it could add up to a no start.
Should be able to read codes through the edge though. We can make a better guess if we can get those.

Injector O rings.
When cold the oil is thicker and can not leak past the orings nearly as fast. When hot and oil temp is up the oil is thinner, and will leak past the orings bleeding off ICP and thus, no start.
On a truck that old, if they haven't been replaced recently, I am as possitive as I can be without looking at the truck that you need to do o rings.
