Default 06 Dodge hunting for gears

Yet another problem... My 06 has a cummins and an auto. I have the smarty box is it,5" exhaust with cat removed, and a afe cold air intake. It has been fine until yesterday. It started surging,or hunting for gears in the 1-2 gears. It only does it at about 5-10 mph and only under light throttle. Doesnt do it any other time. Under heavy throttle,it is just fine. I just changed the fual filter yeterday. No change at all.

There is a solenoid that goes out in the transmission. It's about $80 for the dealer to replace it. Not sure how much it is if you did it yourself.

Your governor pressure solenoid is probably on its way out. Very common on the 05 and up trucks. You will have to pull the valvebody to replace it.
