98 Jetta AHU Problem Code 0575
I am looking for some assistance with my 1998 Jetta AHU 1.9L TDI. I have a re-occurring 0575 pressure code. Where should I start the troubleshooting?
I have cleaned the intake manifold and egr valve once (on vehicle) and it helped but the problem is persisting. I have cleaned the airbox and Intake screen, installed a new airfilter with only marginal results. Obviously when it is warm outside and the vehicle is working the problem is worse, end up in LIMP mode and no power. Can almost get through the fridgid cold winter without it happening et all.
I have a transducer for my Fluke 88 and was going to check the turbo boost pressure.
I have the factory Bentley Manual but it is all but useless for this problem. Any help with a break down of troubleshooting would be appreciated. Simplest to indepth in order would be appreciated.
Also looking for any information on the EGR system and how it functions ie: at what RPM it dumps at etc.
I don't want to try and "re-invent the wheel", I am sure you guru's have covered this ground before.
