Could possibly be a Push rod that didnt get seated well in the tappet. Go ahead and pull the valve cover and look for the issue and we'll all give our opinion.

Things that come to mind are:
What was the Valve lash set to?
Are you sure that you got the pushrod in the tappet (were you able to lift the tappet a bit with the pushrod?)
Valve bridges installed correctly?

It's always a good idea to spin it over by hand a few times to make sure everything is seated good.
It could also be that HG leaking

Dont feel bad bud, thats the way it always goes. Keep ya head up
Really the only thing I know to say is it would most likely be a valvetrain issue but you'll have to pull it apart and check. IF it's not that theres a list of things it could be.
If you need help give me a call!

it never is...and when it's 9PM and all you want to do is never see the truck again....it makes it that much worse.

But I've got faith in ya! I'm sure you'll get her fixed up right!
