It is attached to the bottom of the turbo in the engine intake valley. The only way to get to it is from the top. You can see it if you look almost straight down on the front side of the turbo.

OBS PSD's (94-97) didn't have anti drainback on the HPOP, or HPOP res, one of the two I can't remember. Think you're hittin the nail on the head with it loosin the prime on shutdown though. A couple places sell update kits.

And his ICP is hittin 4000 during regular driving? Who's tuning is he runnin? That right there could tells me his ICP isn't dialed in properly. What's his ICP during crank? I'd recommend watching it during crank, and seein if ICP is spiking after start up, could cause the lope.

ok bad news....

i disconnected the ebpv and the problem persists. so i plugged that back in.

Now for the tuning all he's running is a 130 horse superchip with no exhaust, just a stock downpipe. and I'm sorry he had it up to like 3700 rpm when it hit 4000psi. Now i did have him start it when i last had the scanner on it, datastream showed no spikes in pressure until the lope started occuring. i do not remember what the pressure was during cranking but i do remember it wasn't abnormal.

3700 RPM's and 4000 ICP? Wow that's crazy.

4000 is way to high for the ICP on a stock system. There's alot of people that'd argue that point with me, but I bet they all run Termies.

Have him tune the truck to stock, and I bet the lope goes away.

I plugged my laptop into my truck and turned on the lope tune (flame away) a minute ago and my ICP was everywhere from 350-600.

If it was me, I'd be a little nervous about seein spikes like that in a tune that's not supposed to lope.

So I'd probably look at different tuning too.

Well something is up. It shouldn't be over riding the factory safe limit with a superchip.

It definately shouldn't be doin it with no chip.

4000 is to high.

IPR is stickin wide open, or the sensor is strait lyin to you.

ok im going to disconnect the chip and then watch the pressures one more time. then ill plug the chip back in and watch them again. and my mistake the superchip is the 80 horse model.

and i'll also watch the ebpv on datastream, i havent given up on that idea yet either.

I will update when i get the chance to put the scanner on it, maybe next week, if anybody has any more ideas my ears are open.

You definately shouldn't be seein that much pressure on an 80horse chip.

I would concentrate on the ICP if I were you. 4000 is to high, I don't think the sensor is acurate. Is there any evidence of oil in the three pin plug? A bad ICP sensor could cause a lope I suppose. It's supposed to go to a default IPR % if it has no reading from the ICP sensor, but if it's intermitten, it could be goin back and forth.

And, if the EBPV was partially closing and causing excessive back pressure, you'd hear it. Sounds like rushing hissing air when it closes.
