no this is just the stock brass fitting that goes into the transmission and connects to the tubing that runs up to the cooler

Oh OK.....so a 1/4" npt threads right into the tranny (NPT) and then 1/2" tube from there??

if this is the case than go get a swedglelock fitting and be done with it man

I think its a 1/2 inch tube.....There is no room to cut the tube and put on a new fitting...the brass fitting has a female threads that are all messed up that the tubes fitting is supposed to screw into.

any idea how much pressure is in the line when running?

my lines are all bent up after a joyus weekend of replacing the tranny

You should be able to go to a Napa auto parts or sometimes other auto parts store and get a fitting. It is 1/2 inch inverted flair to 1/4 pipe. Any hydraulic hose shop would also have the fitting.
