Default 99 4x4 cummins auto tranny issues

Not sure whats going on but it started slipping and revs would go high before catching in just about all gears.

It is getting worse everyday and I had to pull over on the side of the hwy today on the way to work but it finally grabbed and I made it to work

Is it time for a new tranny or is there something else I should look at.

Who is good to deal with if I need a new set up? I can put it in myself...I have about 300hp but want one that can handle 500- 600 hp

I'll be glad to help you get a parts list if you want to do a rebuild, or a complete transmission if you want to go that route. Honestly sounds like you've probably fried the converter.
Suncoast, BD , ATS ,DTT, Goerend (SP?) and a few others are big in the transmission scene right now. You might do some research on them! We're a direct vendor for Suncoast. You should have the 47RE in your truck currently.

It is a stock tranny in right now.

I don't have time for a rebuild...I think I like the suncoast transmissions...If I'm going to have it a part I might as well replace the converter and tranny.

What sort of price am I looking at here?

I'm working 80 hrs a week and have not yet dropped the tranny to get a good look.

I went the safest route and bought a new one Suncoast off one of the board vendors

also ordered a tranny jack to do this myself
