Default Need rear driveshaft

06 Dodge Mega-Cab, 5.9, auto trans.
Last week I puked out the rear driveshaft while towing our travel trailer back from Maine.
I dropped the shaft off at a very reliable shop that builds driveshafts. They can not build a shaft for this truck because a new yoke is not available yet from their supplier. I have searched the salvage yards in both CT and MA along with Craig's list in both states and also VT, NH.
Does anyone out there know if this yoke and flang combination is the same for other year/model Dodges, I could expand the search to include those years/models.
My last option would be to purchase new shaft and flange from Dodge.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I heard that Dodge supplies a beefier aluminum drive shaft. Might want to check that out.

Wow, I have never seen a FWD MegaCab before! That is a new idea....

Sometimes I have had luck using car-part.com as a cross reference. Type in your particular truck and then in the search results notice the year and model that comes up on the left. This might just net you a find of the shaft you need. I hope it will!

I have always thought that our MegaCabs were the same as a QuadCab long bed as far as drive train. Hope that helps you a little.

Let us know what you find!!

idk if there is one that works for diff cab or not. if you have to get a new one look at this one i got in my truck. my 08 has a big one piece shaft in it. i got a mega cab and they went to the big one piece shaft in 08. i have seen 07.5 mega and it is a 2 piece. i would think though if you was to buy any used one you would get the right yoke.

When you looked on Car-Part, did you search the whole U.S.? Hopefully you can find one and it won't get too bad for shipping....

I didn't know they went to a one piece shaft in '08. Before that they do have a two piece with a carrier bearing in the rear!

(I just looked for one for my '06 Mega: They had 2 pages full of hits. Highest price was $325 and lowest listed price was $75. HTH some....)
