Default 7.3 problems currentley in the big house

I have a 2000 7.3 turbo f250. Personaly I have no use for Ford Dealerships, but I'm puzzled.I was driving down the road and it went idle, service engine soon light came on.Then in a heartbeat, everything was fine...strange.. Half way home it started to surge (ever so slight ) well any way got it home checked all vitals including fuel fliter,no problems. Started it back up and immediatley ran rough..humm shut it off, restarted and it ran fine.I noticed it was low on fuel so I went to the station and sloshed it with 10 gals. and proceeded home.2 miles it went to running rough, pulled over shut it off and restarted and everything was fine.
To me it sounds like fuel starvation, but the dealer says miss fire codes and wants $700.00 injector harness (dont think thats the prob.)cam sensor replaced and 1 injector last yr.
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanx James

What you can do is unplug the harness and check for corrosion and chaffed/bare wires.

Service engine came on, did the wait to start light come on also?

I'd be careful throwing out "I have no use for Ford dealers", you might rub the guys that work at dealerships the wrong way, and they will likely be the best help to you.

I just dealt with a similar issue this week. And I can tell you it wasn't an injector harness.
