Default clutch trans problem!?

So I was getting on the freeway, shifter into 5th, and after a couple seconds, the revs went to 3k and I had no power. So I let off the throttle and get back on, nothing, like it was in neutral. Coasted to a stop, found that no gears work, like I'm n neutral. I can put the trans in gear without pushing in the clutch! Any ideas? Clutch fried? I never noticed it slipping before or nything else weird.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Unless the clutch is stuck off the flywheel I don't see how it can be that. Pedal feels normal.

Probably damaged the presure plate. Broke an input or clutch disc! You'll have to pull it! For the best deal on a clutch give us a call! 828-266-9077

It sounds like it is more likely to be either the clutch hub broke loose from the disk or a shaft broke in the transmission. My money would be the clutch disk broke.

Very common failure in stock clutches, even in a non modified truck!

that's prettry much what i've narrowed it down to, we'll see once i get the trans out. that x member was a motherf*cker! i used a car scissor jack to press it out. no idea how i'm going to get it back in....
i'd defi itely prefer it to be the clutch disk.
