6.5 problems again
Well i've always kinda had an electrical problem with this pickup but lately it has been running for awhile and then just dying and leaving me stranded. i changed the fuel and air filters cuz they needed it pretty bad. i have fuel all the way up to my injection pump. Now my pickup turns over starts then dies within a couple of seconds. Also none of my clearance lights on my bed work so i think there is a wire shorted there but I don't have an electrical schematic. I was wondering if anybody has any ideas.

check to make sure your fuel shutoff soleniod still works, its underneath the intake manifold. if a diesel starts amd runs then shutoff it wont be anything electrical unless it has to do with the way its shut off. check for a blown fuse for the clearance lights

i checked all the fuses and fuel shutoff solenoid already all of that is good.
last time it did this i unplugged everything and cleaned the connections and plugged it back in and shook everything around and it ran bout a week. but this time i tried that and its a no go

no every once in awhile it'd work but my speedometer gear got stripped when i rebuilt my transfer case. but ya idk how good the cruise actually worked on it. my pmd's still stock location.

the only other thought is your pmd is fried. next time you try to start your truck crack open a injector and see if your getting fuel. if you are its propably your pmd.

ok so my pmd being fried woulda make it just randomly die and then start up again? is there any other way to check it besides that like a voltage check or something
#10
the pmd controls the fuel going to the cylinders through the injection pump so yes if it was fried it could start up and die again.pmds sometimes just die randomly. i asked if cruise was still working because sometimes if the crusie starts to fail so does the pmd. pretty sure there is no voltage check
