Default 2000 Dodge Cummins Fuel Guage

Recently my fuel guage broke. It doesnt go below a half tank. And when its above that like at 3/4 of a tank its not really that full. Is there someway to fix this besides the fuel sendor, or do I gotta bite the bullet and pay dealer price for one, I dont think I even wanna know how much it is either but if someone does know please tell me. Just hoping there is an easier fix then dropping the whole tank and everything.

Any help

Do you fill your truck at the big boys pump?

I don't know the price offhand but before you go to the dealer you might try the auto parts. Some of the senders are available after market. Some junkyards will sell used ones now also.

Seems to be a common problem on later 2nd gen trucks. The sender goes bad.
