Default Code P0341-sensor not in block--01 cummins

I bought this truck in December and had no problems until the engine appeared in the dash display. Truck drives fine, tach goes off occassionally. There is a hole in the block covered with a non-metal cover. Manufacture date in the door is March 00. Where is the camshaft position sensor? It's not behind the starter motor. What to do? Thanks for any help. This is my second post, and I have learned a lot reading since joining.

The cam sensor is up front under the injector pump. Its difficult to get at - some people have to remove the pump to replace it. Its a 0ne wire deal and its held in by a small allen head bolt.

Sorry no pics.

A

nd yes, the crank position sensor is behind the starter motor.

we figured it out. The code is for a camshaft position sensor, not a crankshaft position sensor--dodge apparently didn't change the coding after elimating the camshaft position sensor. My other 01 cummins is the same. The manual says that some 00-01 trucks have a crankshaft position sensor rather than the other. Thanks for the help.
