Hi bigbadbear
I have been away from my computer for a few days. My e mail is my nickname at juno.com. The harness is good at the firewall. It has a center screw to hold it there and is sealed well. I pulled it loose there and the connections were all bright, but there are several other plugs in the harness around the engine. None of these other plugs look very good and a lot of the harness wrapping is badly tattered. I think the 91 diagram should be close enough to get me started. I would appreciate a copy very much. Thank you.

also, rswords I tried to contact geno's garage but have recieved no reply yet. The holliday weekend may have something to do with that.

Still looking for schematic Sometimes diging into wiring without one is like untangling a plate of pasta. I may have a line on one but haven,t got it yet. In the meantime it is still running so we are still using it.

I dont know where you are but often you can go to the Library and check out/photocopy service manuals. Also, if there is a technical school that teaches mechanics, they usually have a lot of references in their library.

This is an older truck now - your really going to have to dig to find the info your looking for.

When people ask where I am I tell them 40 and plum, 40 miles out and plum in the middle of nowhere. I think it is 25 or 30 miles to the nearest library. It is a thriving metropolis of about seven or eight hundred people and around a half million chickens and several thousand head of cattle. Kind of like the rest of the country used to be. Sooner or later I will find the information but until then the truck still drives even with the minor electrical problems.

Geno's Garage came through and I have a factory manual on CD now. Now I have the roadmap to untangle the plate of pasta. Thanks for the help.

I got the repair manual on CD from Geno's Garage and have been slowly reconstructing bad sections of the harness.

I think I've still got a Powertrain, Body and Service Manual on the shelf for your truck! I'll have to check!
