I can see the soot at the corrugation and I know the Y pipe runs up the back of the firewall.My question is does the tranny have to be dropped to remove and replace the Y pipe? Was hoping turbo could be pulled and the Y pipe replaced from the top!!???Anyone delt with this I hear it is a common occurrence.We have already delt with the EGR and put a delete kit in and new up pipe thinking this would prevent any further problems but NOOoooo.

 

I'm pretty sure they can come out from the top. I'm sure a Ford guy will be along soon to help you out.
