Default oil problem

ok this is to the point were its got me kinda worried but not to the very worried point. the past few days i notice above 1500rpm the oil pressure is a bit over 40psi, under 1500 rmp its center of the two hash marks. sometimes it flucktuates below the first hash mark. would this be a sign of a oil pump going out.

well you could just tape a pressure guage to the windshield to verify oil pressure. Just a thought.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

would out of the oil housing like were the turbo supply line comes out, would that be an accurate place to hook it up or in the block were the factory sender is?

didn't you just rebuild that engine?

why would more pressure be bad?

Yes, remove the other plug (its 1/8' NPT) and hook up your hose right there on the filter head.

ya i just rebuilt the engine, i have a bypass fitler housing hooked to the other port on the filter head. it aint hooked up yet becasue im still in breaking. i might get a cheepy somewere just to throw in and look, has many people had problems with there electrical ones failing

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

ok i hooked up a mechanical guage to the oil filter housing and above 1400rpm and full throttle is about 70psi and on the instrament panel guage its a tad over 40psi. at idle when the panel guage fluctuates down the mechanical guage stays at about 35psi. when the mechanical is at 40psi the panel guage is way below 40psi. is there a differnce in pressur between were the electrical sender is and the turbo supply line?
