Default 6.7 exhaust brake

ok, i have on 08 3500 with the exhaust brake, its been doin great until last week...it started workin intermittently, and when it wasnt workin, the truck would roll coal like an ol 5.9 would..i thought it was a difference in the atmospheric pressure since i was in higher elevations..now the truck smokes when lugging it o when changing gears and getting back on throttle. dodge placed checked it out and said it must be the programmer, edge juice/att, that the truck didnt have any problems. they said they unhooked the programmer and hooked up with scanner then hooked the programmer back up and everthing was workin fine..now im back on the east coast and the truck is like it was in higher elevations..smokes like hell, exhaust brake dont work....i dont know what the hell is going on. i thought maybe the fuel filter was part of my loss of power and smoking, but it not. it has a new fuel filter...please help me!!

i took it to the dealer, and they didnt wanna mess with it cause of the mods..but did tell me about the exhaust brake actuator possibly bein caked with soot..they gave me 3 cans of cleaner to go in the turbo in the port hole on top between the housings and the procedure for doing so, and gave me a quart of egr cleaner. im not seeing any codes come up and the CEL dont come on. now its finding the proper fitting 2 screw in to the top 2 get the cleaner 2 go in...hopefully it will work, find out tonite and will repost the outcome

UPDATE....couldnt find the fittings, so i took my truck 2 another dealer...they hooked it up and checked it out...reflashed it with new software..that didnt help..they then checked the EGR Valve, as the computer was showing it to be good, the service advisor said it was actually hung open around 30%, causing the excessive smoke and loss of power, and that it wasnt creating enough back pressure on the intake side of the turbo to engage the exhaust brake..truck runs great now and is strong..maybe now ill do the EGR delete...they were pretty cool with the mods and said he wouldnt void my warranty. while i was waiting the service manager was tryin to sell me his superchip he has on his 6.7..haha...so all dealers aint ******** after all
